Non-Highlanders go high (land) - the 10th jubilee with a gulp of mountain air
Celebrations associated with the 10th jubilee of the company were arranged in Zakopane. Lechpol team accompanied by its customers could spend an unforgettable week hiking high in the mountains, rafting in the Dunajec river, having bonfires and getting engrossed in numerous feasts going with the flow of highland music. Conclusions on the 10-year existence of the company were presented in parallel with plans for the future. The best employees and the most active trade partners received their awards. It was the first time that Swiss watches ‘Atlantic’ were given, which later evolved into a kind of emblem of friendship and good cooperation flowering between the owners, employees and customers of Lechpol. The meeting also hosted visualization and design presentation of a five-floor office facility with floor space of over 2000 square meters. Due to procedural obstacles (utilities’ supply) that hindered its realization construction works have never begun. Nonetheless, the owner took different steps on the path of company development. Still, an office centre in Warsaw remains an unfulfilled dream of the President.
In 2002 the company bought a plot adjoined to the national road no. 17 in Miętne, which was followed by design and construction works over a new office-storage facility. It was designed by the architects Małgorzata Świątek and Katarzyna Ostaszewska to encompass surface floor of 3500 square meters + 400-square-meter mezzanine. Constructions were completed by the companies Domex from Garwolin and Dombud from Odolanów. Festive opening took place during the 15th jubilee the company celebrated, in the presence of employees, customers, representatives of the Polish parliament and local authorities. Everything was concluded by a gala event when people and companies that had cooperated with Lechpol so far were awarded. Then the guests were invited for a couple-of-days stay in Gołębiewski Hotel in Mikołajki. Feasts and common sailing left all present with excitement that can hardly be forgotten.
